ONC - Course 2: Cancer Types, Treatments and Systems Based Nutrition Therapy
The second course in the 250 HOUR ONC certification program takes a deep look at over a dozen different types of cancer, their risk factors, current frontline treatment options, systems-based nutrition considerations, and nutrition related research findings. Western medicine treatments and research focus heavily on types of cancer and their location in order to formulate treatment plans and new drugs. Nutrition research follows suit, using specific nutrients to target specific cancers. Here students will get a comprehensive overview of current standards of care for the major types of cancer and researched nutrition interventions that can complement conventional treatments, and reduce/improve side effects and minimize adverse reactions.
